So I'm not all talk afterall :) The BlogCamp Boston website is up (though not ready to putout there just yet), the venue is selected (though not approved just yet) and I'm pretty excited. If the venue doesn't work out, I might go back to a Providence location where it's cheaper (aka BlogCamp Providence) but I'm optimistic. I've been talking to some fantastic people and the support is incredible. I'm really excited.
Also... on my way to my mom's house this morning (she had surgery yesterday so I'm keeping an eye on her) I had a semi-brilliant idea. I want to go camping. No, that's not the brilliant idea. Have patience.
So I asked my Twitter friends what they thought about having a Twitter campout. As I hoped, my awesome followers were very enthusiastic :D So since I am not patient, and the summer is upon us, I'm going to get this going.
Choosing a campground with wi-fi is hard because there are only three in MA and none in RI. The, since it's more of a tweetup, do you ask people to pay for their campsite, or do you somehow find a sponsor? Honestly I might be able to sponsor it myself, depending how many people decide to go. I guess I'll figure that out. Email me at amander@gmail.com if you wanna chat about it. I'm sure the website will be up at like 2am tomorrow morning since I'm such a website making junkie.

I've spoken with a handful of people about it. Two things came up. The first is that we're all super excited to do this and we think it will rock.
Secondly, everyone is split on the wifi/tech nature of it. We're wondering if we should make it more of a retreat sans technology to get to connect and know each other better and talk without the wifi and gear for once. Thoughts? Call me :)
